ASSUMPTION ACADEMY MISSION STATEMENT
Assumption Academy’s Early Childhood Program provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in PreK through Kindergarten, where faith, play, and purposeful learning lay the foundation for lifelong success. Each day, our young learners grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically in a caring Catholic community.
CURRICULUM
At Assumption Academy the Frog Street curriculum is followed in the PreK 3 and PreK 4 classrooms. You can find more information about Frog Street here: frogstreet.com.
The Kindergarten uses the Benchmark Curriculum for phonics/reading and the Sadlier Curriculum for Math. Kindergarten will also be implementing the Wilson Reading program Fundations. Fundations is a phonemic awareness program and introduction to reading.
All ages are engaged in lessons that meet the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, PA and NAEYC curriculum standards.
CARES PROGRAM
Assumption Academy offers an extended CARES program. CARES begins with Morning CARES from 7:30 AM to 8:50 AM, and after care from 3:00PM – 6:00PM.
CARES is offered to children enroll at Assumption Academy. All staffed by the school faculty and parishioners.
DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP
Parents are welcome to park in the school/church parking lot and walk into the school to drop-off or pick-up their children. For those who need it, a convenient Car Line system is in place for both drop-off and pick-up. Simply drive up to the front of the building and a staff member will walk your child into school.
